Hi friends! Been having lots of technical difficulties lately... had to get my harddrive replaced and lost all of my programs (Adobe Suite nuuuu) and my files (lots of WIP stuff..) since February! And on top of that the micro setting to my camera won't work.
This WOULD happen to me at the beginning of summer, wouldn't you agree????? guhhhh.....

But enough complaining! I had the opportunity to attend Marshall Vandruff's 3-Day Composition Seminar last weekend at CDA. It was amazing and informational! He's a fun teacher. We did lots of composition studies from great masters such as Rembrandt, Sargent, and Pyle to name a few... My notes are kind of sporadic... heh...

Anyways, I've been doing quick studies from the movie Memoirs of a Geisha. Such a beautiful and lovely movie! These aren't very good... I'm not very good with photoshop, but I need practice, so yeah. :]

Geishas are really cool. And just to clarify, they are not Asian prostitutes! Wiki says, "Their purpose is to entertain their customer, be it by dancing, reciting verse, playing musical instruments, or engaging in light conversation." Speaking of which, here's one I doodled:

And a kitchen.

And another random doodle:

okay. The End!

Movies Watched: Memoirs of a Geisha, The Illusionist, Kung Fu Panda 2, Vantage Point
